Teachers

All our teachers are fully qualified to teach English to foreign students. They are chosen for their qualifications, teaching skills and willingness to help students.

Continual Assessment

The student’s progress is constantly assessed through the process of daily homework and a weekly test.

Certificates

Students who complete the course successfully are awarded the Warnborough College Certificate of Merit. All students receive a detailed written report from their teacher.

Summer Courses

During the summer, there is an active social, cultural and sporting programme. There are excursions and field trips arranged on a regular basis. Intensive courses in preparation for English proficiency examinations are available during the summer. Special interest courses where General English tuition can be combined with areas such as art, drama and music can be arranged. Individuals and groups may apply for Summer Courses with adjustments made to suit specific requirements.

Social Life

The College provides a full social programme during the summer, and optionally throughout the year. Excursions are provided on the weekend with half-day excursions during the week.

Other activities include barbecues and discos, country pub tours, theatre, cinema, concerts and parties. There are also opportunities for horse-riding, swimming, golf, canoeing, ice-skating, car racing and "punting" on the river.

Accommodation

One of the best ways to learn English is to live it. Therefore, students are placed with carefully selected English families. Each student is provided with a single or twin room, and half board (breakfast and dinner). Self-catering, and bed and breakfast accommodation can be arranged. Executive and business students can also request hotel accommodation. During the summer, and other university vacation times, accommodation may be available in college halls of residence.
