Course Description
At Warnborough we offer two general English classes for fifteen and eighteen hours per week. Courses are ten weeks in duration. The maximum class size is twelve students.

Warnborough College General English Courses are designed to integrate all language skills i.e. speaking, listening, reading and writing. The aim is to rapidly improve communication in everyday situations with heavy emphasis on speaking.
Teaching is focussed on the most common areas students benefit from grammar and pronunciation, alongside vocabulary and language correctness. Modern textbooks are supplemented by a variety of additional materials including role-plays, authentic materials, magazines and newspapers.
Upon enrolment students complete a written placement test and receive an oral assessment with our Director of Studies to assess their level of English. Students are then placed into the most suitable group to ensure learning is personalised and delivered at the correct pace.
In addition, all students complete a grammar needs analysis at their level to identify individual areas of study and interest. Results of this analysis are used to develop an individual homework plan which is closely monitored by tutors on a one-to-one basis.

The minimum enrolment age is eighteen for all English language programmes.
