admissions application

College Admissions
There are four intakes per year:
  • > October
  • > January
  • > April
  • > July

Places are limited for overseas students who require a Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies (CAS), and we advise students to register well in advance for each intake.

Applicants who provide complete documents and who have above-average English test scores will be given priority for CAS allocations.

Warnborough College is selective in its admissions policy. We take academic records, test scores, references and seriousness of purpose into consideration.

If at any point during your application you need to speak to someone about your application, we are here to help!
We can be contacted by: post, email, phone or through Skype.
We can help with any aspect of the application from Stage 1 right through to the day you arrive for your first lesson.

The points-based visa system for international students (Tier 4)
What is the points-based system?

The points-based system was launched in 2008 to ensure that only those with the right skills or the right contribution will be able to come to the United Kingdom to work and study.

    For study, you will score:

  • 30 points for a Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies (CAS) number from a licensed sponsor;
  • and 10 points if you can show you have enough finances to cover you, your course fees and monthly living expenses for up to 12 months (known as maintenance).

What is a Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies (CAS) number?

When your sponsor decides that you are a serious student and wishes to offer you a place on the programme, it will use the UK Border Agency's online system to generate a Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies (CAS) reference number. This reference number must be quoted in your application for a visa. You must also supply all the documentary evidence which was used to generate a CAS number. international students

International Students
International Students requiring a Visa will need to be interviewed through Skype. We will assess both your English ability and your desire to study. Read More about studying in the UK

transfer students

Transfer students will be able to join the College quickly and easily, but will need to speak to an advisor before starting the usual admissions process.

Do I need a visa?

UK visa regulations for international students continue to change. You must check the UKBA website for the latest and most accurate information.
    You can study in the UK without a student visa if:
  • you are a national of a country in the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland;
  • you are a British overseas territories citizen, unless you are from one of the sovereign base areas in Cyprus;
  • you are a Commonwealth citizen with permission to enter or stay in the UK because at least one of your grandparents was born here;
  • or you have no conditions or time limit attached to your stay.

Student Welfare

There is a Student Welfare Officer at the College to handle issues relating to support.

Students with special needs or learning difficulties should inform the Student Welfare Officer of their situation so that any available assistance may be made to them.
The Student Welfare Officer may be contacted through e-mail: welfare@warnborough.ac.uk
